Life Balance Coaching

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in control of your own destiny? Would you like to be in control of your own life, career, & even your relationships?

Well you can do anything, and I can help you to get there.

Often people are so fixated on what they can't do they don't realise what they can do. There are so many opportunities out there in the world and so many people fail to seize them, often through fear, lack of confidence, or "bad programming" (the things we learn as we grow up). I have helped many people to unlock their potential, set their goals higher than they ever thought possible AND then achieve them. It's very rewarding work.

I started FOREVER-SJW in March 2008 so that I could reach out to more people to help them. I have been very fortunate in my life to have access to books, training and broad experience; and have learned a great number of techniques, and methods that can help to enhance lives. You could be one of those people.

  • Soft Skills Training

Not everyone is born with the innate ability to communicate with others, to relate to them or to see how they can be most effective in a group of mixed talent. Soft Skills is a suite of characteristics that enhance a persons abilities by making them more effective in translating them to others.

    Why is it important?
Soft skills is a sociological term relating to a person's Emotional Intelligence Quotient (EQ); the cluster of personality traits, social graces, communication, language, personal habits, friendliness, and optimism that characterise relationships with other people.

Soft skills complement hard skills (part of a person's IQ), which are the occupational requirements of a job and many other activities.

A person's soft skill EQ is an important part of their individual contribution to the success of an organisation; particularly those organizations dealing with customers face-to-face are generally more successful if they train their staff to use these skills. Screening or training for personal habits or traits such as dependability and conscientiousness can yield significant return on investment for an organisation. For this reason, soft skills are increasingly sought out by employers in addition to standard qualifications. It has been suggested that in a number of professions soft skills may be more important over the long term than occupational skills.

The legal profession is one example where the ability to deal with people effectively and politely, more than their mere occupational skills, can determine the professional success of a lawyer. Increasingly, over the last two decades, it has been recognized that when IT Professionals acquire soft skills, better relationships are built between IT and the other business units within the enterprise, fostering alignment.

Soft Skills are behavioral competencies. Also known as Interpersonal Skills, or people skills, they include proficiencies such as communication skills, conflict resolution and negotiation, personal effectiveness, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, team building, influencing skills and selling skills, to name a few.

These are often found in expensive courses offered by large training organisations and held in classroom situations. Forever-SJW offers these learnings on a one to one basis as we all learn at different rates and have different points of reference. Also the sessions are only two or three hours long and conducted mostly in the evenings or at weekends. They can be conducted remotely by phone, webinar, or Skype if not in Shropshire. By conducting the training out of hours it can remain a private undertaking, and for smaller businesses that can ill-afford to have any absences it does not take anyone out of work. I believe it shows a commitment from the employee to use some of their own time for personal development whilst the company's commitment to the employee is to pay for the education.
